About You

We are seeking a dynamic marketing professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably within the travel sector. You possess a solid understanding of the travel industry and have a proven track record in developing and implementing tactical marketing and communication plans.

Your expertise in strategic marketing planning across various platforms sets you apart. You have a wealth of experience in formulating and executing performance marketing strategies , within a services eCommerce or retail environment. With a strong foundation in digital marketing, you are great at managing multiple campaigns and harnessing tools like SEM, SEO, and social media to drive results.

You're analytical and insightful, capable of translating data and trends into effective strategies and compelling messaging. Your data-driven approach enables you to optimise both above the line and digital marketing campaigns. Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, WordPress, and Google Analytics is highly desirable, and your adaptability and keen attention to detail equip you to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-business environment with tight deadlines.

You are an exceptional communicator and team player, known for your innovative and creative thinking. Your highly organised nature and strong time management skills ensure that you consistently meet objectives. You excel in building relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, uncovering new opportunities to drive success. Proficiency in the entire Microsoft Suite completes your skill set, making you an invaluable asset to our team.



About The Role

As the Marketing Manager – Outback Spirit, you will play a pivotal role in leading the planning, development, execution, and ongoing management of marketing campaigns for Outback Spirit. Your efforts will ensure that every creative application supports the brand, including website content, social media, guest materials, brochure content, and pre-departure/post-travel communications.

You will collaborate closely with the Marketing & Communications team to focus on brand positioning and management, while driving new customer acquisition, implementing repeat loyalty initiatives, and achieving commercial results that contribute to overall business performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

The development and management of annual marketing plans and budgets
Work closely with the Group Manager Marketing and wider Marketing & Communications team to develop, implement and execute marketing campaigns across all media channels and platforms (print, native advertising, digital, search, social, radio and OOH)
Team leadership – development of Marketing Executive, monitoring workloads and performance
Management of campaign media including quarterly media briefs, media bookings and material deadlines
Identifying campaign effectiveness and making recommendations
Contribute analysis and insights to monthly marketing reports, marketing plans and post-campaign reports
Develop briefs, oversee production and shoot management of all asset capture, e.g. video and still shoots
Work collaboratively with the in-house design team to ensure campaign creative and all branded collateral is created and executed in adherence to brand guidelines
Support the development of a social media strategy, managing the social media calendar, content publishing, ongoing community engagement and management
Management of the yearly marketing, email and activity planning document
Managing the creation of high quality, engaging content for paid, owned and earned channels


This role is based in Adelaide and is a part of the Group Marketing & Communications team, however a strong working relationship and regular onsite working days with the Outback Spirit team based interstate is essential.
